Historical signals .....
Our production of typical venician masques is
entirely hand-made and obeys to the oldest traditions.
We employ the same techniques and materials
that have been used for centuries inside the workshop
by the "MASCARERI" (n.d.r. old venician dialectal
word which means the masques' makers).
Inthe old times, Venice was the only town
where the masque was a familiar object.
Noblemen used to wear masques very often,
especially at their parties, and everybody wore
them during the carnival.
A maximum care is taken in order to obtain the
real venician masque, beginning with the choice
of theraw materials up to the last stroke of the brush.
The fact that all of these masques are necessarily hand-made and that they are
decorated one by one, not following a fixed
pattern, makes each masque is decorated with
the person who wears or shows it, won't ever
see a copy anywhere.
